A powerful, useful article on the ways in which the status quo in this country (and elsewhere) can shift the charge of cultural insensitivity away from themselves on onto minorities, such as Muslims, and thereby contrive and fuel this senseless “culture war.” The allusion to Ralph Ellison that the author makes pleased me enormously.
